Horse in Art

Announcing our 2024 Horse in Art Exhibition…
Exhibition dates  August 31st to October 1st 2024

We are delighted to announce that our 2024 ‘Horse in Art’ Exhibition will be at Weston Park in Shropshire, from 31st August to 1st October. So put the date in your diary, and for all of you equestrian artists and sculptors, it is time to get planning your work to submit!

We exhibited at Weston Park two years ago, and are very much looking forward to returning. It is a beautiful venue, and easy to access from many parts of the country.

Originally built in 1767, the Rose Paterson Art Gallery was unused for many years before becoming the subject of a total and most sympathetic restoration, thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Now set beneath a splendidly characterful old beamed roof, it is a wonderful exhibition space. It is in the same building as the Granary Brasserie, so visitors to the exhibition can have a great day out including a visit to the house and gardens (check the Weston Park website for opening times).

We will have more details soon about submission dates and awards.

You will need to be a member of the SEA to submit work, but it is only £30 to join, with the benefits of membership include not just the chance to exhibit, but also workshops to attend around the country, and opportunities to promote your work. Online entry form and Guidance NOtes will be on here soon.

Here are a few images to look at from our last exhibition Weston Park. We can’t wait to see what the 2024 exhibition will look like!
