Juliet Jeffery FSSI SEA

Biography

Juliet Jeffery FSSI SEA

Juliet Jeffery is principally a watercolourist, but also paints in gouache and tempura, usually when executing miniatures. Her childhood passion for ponies in particular, and general love of animals, gypsies and old building, has fuelled her choice of subjects.

As well as working as a professional painter, she is also a professional calligrapher, and is a Fellow of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators. The two disciplines enable her to undertake commissions such as illustrated pedigrees of animals (family trees), histories of buildings and handmade books.

She has exhibited throughout the United Kingdom and has illustrated several gypsy books. She is a Brother of the Art Workers’ Guild.
