Teresa Allen

Biography

Teresa is a pastel artist who specialises in safari wildlife and equestrian artwork. Her redundancy from managing incentive travel events took her back seventeen years to rediscover her neglected artistic roots and enabled her to capture her passion for authentic wildlife and equine encounters on paper. She creates compositions that play with light or enhance particular characteristics; from textures in the skin or fur to the expressive magnetism of the eyes. Her portfolio showcases each subject detailed in all its glory, purposefully undistracted by a background, with deeper meanings behind the work to provide an extra layer of connection to the viewer.

She is an Art Ambassador for Derwent. Her safari tales have been featured in BBC Wildlife magazine and she was shortlisted in the Explorers for Extinction ‘Sketch for Survival’ competition. Her work has been displayed twice at the Gallery@Oxo in London.
