Sue Tufnell

Biography

Energy, movement and colour inspire Susan to create works in a variety of media.
Using loose, light strokes for a painterly effect Susan enjoys working in either acrylic or watercolour with horses and the natural world being her favourite subjects.

A lifetime with horses as a competitive rider, coach and horse breeder allows her to have an intuitive understanding of her favourite subject matter.
Born in Ireland and following three decades in Australia Susan has recently returned to the Northern Hemisphere, where retirement allows her to spend more time in her studio.

Mainly self taught Susan’s paintings were regularly exhibited in Australia and hang in private collections in Australia, Asia and Europe.
