Gerardine is a Dublin artist. She has been drawing and sketching from a very early age. Her paintings have a highly finished and completed look. She takes great care to accurately portray the character and form of the animal or subject she is working on

She studied at the National College of Art and Rathmines College of Art. She later achieved excellence in the Diploma in Art and Animation at Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and from there was chosen by Disney Studios Paris for Layout training. After animation she went on to complete an B.A.(Hons.) in Media Management. Since then she has worked on award-winning films and TV productions

Gerardine likes to experiment with many mediums – her paintings are produced in oils, acrylics, watercolour, inks and pastels, as well as a combination of each

Although her main subject is equestrian, she also loves to produce painitngs of other animals, especially birds

She worked for many years in graphics to the printing industry, and this has developed an illustration style which can be seen in her watercolours

Gerardine is a Friend of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and a member of Artworks Malahide, the Pastel Society of Ireland, and the Equine Art Guild of Canada
