We are delighted to have organised a combined two-day workshop that will offer you the chance to paint both Thoroughbreds and Heavy Horses under the expert eye of Honorary SEA member, Malcolm Coward, international equestrian artist.<\/p>\n<p>Our hosting venues are:<\/p>\n<h4>HAZELRIGG; A FIRST CLASS RACEHORSE TRAINING CENTRE AND HOME TO ROSE DOBBIN RACING, WHERE YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAINT A NUMBER OF RACEHORSES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND\u2026<\/h4>\n<h4>HAYS FARM; PART OF THE BEAUTIFUL FORD AND ETAL ESTATE; HOME TO THE LARGEST HERD OF RARE BREED CLYDESDALE HEAVY HORSES WITHIN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND.<\/h4>\n<p>Whatever your level of painting, this is a fantastic opportunity to paint horses of different physiques in a safe and encouraging environment.<\/p>\n<p>Exact details are still being confirmed, but please pre-register your interest with [[EMAIL ADDRESS]]. Breeding quality Morgan horses for over 45 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Morgan can trace its lineage to one legendary stallion \u2018Figure\u2019 owned by Justin Morgan in the USA, and is one of the most versatile of breeds, with beautiful conformation and expressive head\u2026it\u2019s sometimes referred to as the \u2018Artist\u2019s horse\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The stud is run by John Bulmer and his wife Angela Conner, the internationally famous sculptor, and her work can be seen around the farm. She will be at the workshop, and will be fascinating to chat to about art.<\/p>\n<p>The facilities are brilliant for a workshop, with an indoor school we can use if it\u2019s wet, and we can use the farmhouse for downtime and refreshments \u2013 bring your own lunch, or we can discuss a local pub visit. They also use them to draw wedding carriages, teach driving skills and in film and promotional work.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a choice of horses to draw as well the old traditional stone buildings of a Devon farm and a selection of large sheds should it be a little damp!
