A very busy Private View on Monday 9th October was greatly enjoyed by all.<\/p>\n

The Hon. James Bethell and his wife Sally officiated and James presented the Awards, representing his cousin, our President, Lord Grimthorpe,
\nThe Award Winners were as follows:<\/p>\n

The Michael Harding Oil Painting Prize<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>generously sponsored by Michael Harding and open to all levels of membership was won by Malcolm Coward HSEA for his painting ‘Ponies For Sale’<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael Harding Watercolour Prize<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0open to all levels of membership\u00a0was awarded to Colin Allbrook HSEA ROI RSMA for his delightful painting ‘Fading LIght, Exmoor’<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Sally Mitchell Fine Art Ltd Christmas Card Prize<\/strong><\/span>. The painting\u00a0 chosen for this hotly contested award was\u00a0 ‘All Weathers’ by Jane Braithwaite SEA\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Unison Pastel Prize<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0for the best pastel painting in the exhibition was Brian Halton, a new Friend member with his pastel painting ‘Baaeed’<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Rosemary’s Brushes<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Prize\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Rosemary’s of Rosemary’s Brushes awarded her prize to Jane Braithwaite SEA for the painting ‘Room With a View’\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

he BSAT Sculpture Prize\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>All sculptures are eligible for this award which is generously sponsored by the British Sporting Art Trust. We are indebted to the Trust who have supported the Society for many years. Sally Bethell expertly\u00a0judged this award and chose Zo\u00eb Carmichael’s beautiful piece\u00a0‘Hunt Horse’. Zo\u00eb\u00a0is another new Friend member<\/p>\n

Best in Show\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Selected from all work in the exhibition by the anonymous votes of the Full Members present This year’s winner was Malcolm Coward HSEA for the stunning painting ‘Spanish Schooling’\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Cuneo Medal<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is our most prestigious award for the most meritorious group of works by a Full Member and open to our Full Members who have three or more works in the exhibition. This prize is also by the vote of the Full Members at the Private View. The winning Artist\u00a0 was Debbie Dunbar HSEA who was awarded\u00a0the coveted Cuneo Medal by The Hon. James Bethell. It is the second time Debbie has been awarded the coveted Cuneo Medal<\/span>
