During the forty plus years she has been a member she has worked tirelessly for the SEA. For over twenty years she was the Editor of the newsletter, ran the Northern Branch of the Society, organised the Northern Exhibitions and the Devon workshop and more recently stepped in to the role of Acting Chairperson when the role was left empty by the sudden stepping down of a past Chair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Working initially as a Designer\/Illustrator for Nestle where she became Design Co-ordinator she took very early retirement to pursue her painting\/print career. Her work has won numerous print awards including the Curwen Press Award at the Mall Gallery, the International Print Biennale Award at the Laing Gallery, The Robert Fountain Award for the best print work at the SEA annual exhibition and the Cuneo Medal for the best work in the SEA and foolishly bought a rescue pony from Ireland with the prize money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Having trained and ridden several horses to Advanced level in dressage and has been a British Dressage Judge for over forty years her knowledge of the horse and its way of going is extensive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She lives with her menagerie in North Yorkshire.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-15082\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/glynis-mills-591x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/glynis-mills-591x600.jpg 591w, https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/glynis-mills-344x350.jpg 344w, https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/glynis-mills-768x780.jpg 768w, https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/glynis-mills.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Honorary Member, Glynis Mills, joined the Society in its infancy.
