{"id":4680,"date":"2013-10-13T09:28:35","date_gmt":"2013-10-13T09:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.equestrianartists.co.uk\/?page_id=4680"},"modified":"2022-12-06T07:14:23","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T07:14:23","slug":"jo-richardson","status":"publish","type":"friends","link":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/friends\/jo-richardson\/","title":{"rendered":"Jo Richardson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JO RICHARDSON<\/p>\n<p>I have been interested in horses for as long as I can remember and have ridden since the age of five.\u00a0 I trained at college to be a riding instructor but in the end concentrated on breeding horses.\u00a0 For 31 yrs I was the Stud Manager at <em>Biddesden Stud<\/em> on the Hampshire Wiltshire border where we were lucky in enough to produce a Badminton Horse Trials Winner and Olympic team horse,<em> Tamarillo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I have ridden horses at National shows, including Wembley and Point to Pointed for 3 seasons, I then went to to race Arabian horses.\u00a0 Winning and placed many times.\u00a0 I developed a passion for the Arabian horse culminating in wining<em> The British National Ridden Stallion Championship<\/em> on a stallion called<em> Sisyrinchium<\/em>.\u00a0 Many of my paintings are inspired by the Arabian horse.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the riding instructor course I also took an \u2018A\u2019Level in the History of Art and a Foundation art course.\u00a0 Currently I am a member of the Andover Art Society, Winchester Art Group and Wallop artists.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I have worked on Lino cuts for a book <em>\u2018White Horses, Chalk Hills\u2019 by Angus Haywood.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I mainly work in Oils, Charcoals and Dry point or Mono Original Prints.<\/p>\n<p><strong>www.jorichardson-art.co.uk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":15011,"template":"","class_list":["post-4680","friends","type-friends","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/friends\/4680","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/friends"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/friends"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/15011"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4680"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
