She trained at college to be a riding instructor but in the end concentrated on breeding horses. For 31 years she was the stud manager at Biddesden Stud on the Hampshire Wiltshire border where she were lucky enough to be involved in the breeding of a Badminton Horse Trials and Burghley winner Olympic team horse.<\/span><\/span><b> <\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i><b>Tamarillo<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Having ridden horses at National shows, including Wembley. Point to Pointed for 3 seasons being placed at a few times. She developed a passion for the Arabian horse culminating in winning <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i><b>The British National Ridden Stallion Championship<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"> on a Stallion called <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i><b>Sisyrinchium<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">. Many of her paintings are inspired by the Arabian horse. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Over the years she has completed many evening courses including a Foundation art course. Currently a member of the Andover Art Society, Winchester Art Group and she has also exhibited with The Society of Equestrian Artists in London.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Many of the Lino cuts and drawings for the book \u2018White horses Chalk Hills\u2019 by Angus Haywood are by Jo. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">She mainly works in oils, charcoal and original prints.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> <span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Her other passion is showing Airedale Terriers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\">\n","protected":false},"featured_media":15359,"template":"","class_list":["post-15358","friends","type-friends","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/friends\/15358","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/friends"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/friends"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/15359"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/equestrianartists.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=15358"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
