At first, concentrating in producing animal commissions and after a busy Christmas in 2016, she began to grow it into a creditable career. Since then Sophie hasn\u2019t looked back, with her unique style selling well throughout galleries and privately with work being shipped as far as Australia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Inspiration for Sophie\u2019s work often involves the behind the scenes, whether in racing or bloodstock, exploring the daily routines of thoroughbreds. Based on a stud on the Oxfordshire\/ Northamptonshire borders, she is never more than a few steps away from horses with her studio overlooking a paddock of mares and foals. As a passionate rider herself her horse is often used as a reference in her work to analysis joints and muscle groups.<\/p>\n<p>Her contemporary and fluid technique allows movement to flood the painting, from the explosive energy and grace of horses to the small details that capture a moment in time.
