Paul is self taught from an artistic and equine background. His paternal grandfather was an artist and maternal grandfather and family were trainers and jockeys in Lewes.<\/p>\n

His early commissions and sales include \u2018Brigadier Gerard\u2019 for the Canadian Jockey Club and \u2018Grundy\u2019 for Mr P T Walwyn and Ascot Racecourse<\/p>\n

In 2004 returned to painting after a career in Graphic Design, exhibiting with the Society of Equestrian Artists 2006<\/p>\n

He says he paints the subjects he does because of an admiration and love for The Horse and a deep desire to capture a moment and record it for others to enjoy<\/p>\n
