As Jeremy Houghton is announced as the 2018 Shadwell Stud stallion brochure artist we reflect on SEA artists, past and present, that have also won the commission to have their artwork grace the front cover of the organisation’s Thoroughbred stallion brochure.
The honour endorses the stud’s aspiration to promote talented artists and the unique relationship that art has with the sport of horse racing.
As well as winning exciting and prestigious projects and commissions in other popular sports, Jeremy Houghton does have form in the racing world. In 2012 he won the ‘Best Sporting Artist’ award from the SEA, with his painting of Sam Waley-Cohen and LONG RUN winning the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. Find out more >>
