Suzanne Nielsen
Biography
With a life riding horses and a degree in art Suzanne funnels these influences into her focus on equine and equestrian art as they continue to be the two constants in her life.
After working in animation, her love of painting deepened following a move to rural Vermont. She dove into her study of painting techniques and combined this with her understanding of movement and anatomy. These studies blended with her unique compositions and view of the relationship between horse and rider developed her style of looking closely at the connection between the two.
Suzanne works on commission as well as finding the time for her own equestrian art. Working mainly in oil and charcoal, her aim is to share the grace and beauty that she sees in these amazing animals, as well as our relationship to them.
