MAY 2025

Saturday 3rd May 2025 Northumberland

Cost: £65 per day Location: Near Chatton, Northumberland, NE66

Come and join us for a day of equestrian painting in the heart of Northumberland. We are delighted to have organised a one-day workshop painting Heavy Horses We hope to extend this to a two day that will offer you the chance to make a weekend stay painting and learning under the expert eye of Honorary SEA member, Malcolm Coward, international equestrian artist.

Our hosting venue is:

Hays Farm; Part of the beautiful Ford and Etal estate; home to the largest herd of rare breed Clydesdale Heavy Horses within the North of England.

Whatever your level of painting, this is a fantastic opportunity to paint horses of different physiques in a safe and encouraging environment.

Cost: Sat to Friday Breakfast, Dinner and all tuition, models etc – £980 per person sharing (£1,180 for single room occupancy )

This unique residential course has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which provides you with a wonderful opportunity to improve your work, no matter what level you are at with your practice, with support and advice from our tutors in an informal environment, so is suitable for all artists as tutoring is mostly one to one.

We are very excited to announce a new workshop at the wonderful charity The Horse Trust, Princes Risborough Buckinghamshire HP27 0PP. Details to follow. The oldest horse charity in the country, find out more about them please visit their website: https://horsetrust.org.uk


Other workshops are in the pipeline including a visit to New Beginnings near York, and Keysoe Equestrian Centre in Bedfordshire.
