Desmond Mac Mahon
Desmond Mac Mahon was born in 1969 and studied at Central St Martins School of Art and Design, graduating with a B.A. Hons (1st) in Painting. During this time, he came second in the Natwest National Painting Prize 1994.
His works are in a variety of collections from the British Council to, most recently, the Art Russe Foundation.
Having worked as a copyist for a number of West End galleries, Desmond has also been involved in an extensive study of equine art. He is currently engaged in a series of transcriptions of the paintings of George Stubbs, with the aim of integrating Stubbs’ techniques into his own equestrian portraiture.
Desmond Mac Mahon is available for commissions and works from his studio in Crystal Palace.
