Mo was born in Lyndhurst, the very heart of the New forest, in 1959
A self-taught artist, Mo started drawing as a small child. Winning her first competition at 18, she progressed to exhibiting and selling work at Windsor Safari Park and then Longleat in Wiltshire. She has achieved finalist status in several national competitions and also undertaken work for several well-know television personalities. Mo has illustrated a childrens' book for a New Forest author as well as undertaking commissions nationally and in the USA. She also supports and provides illustrations for The Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. A member of three New Forest based art societies, she now exhibits her work at a gallery in Lymington, Hampshire
Oil is Mo's favourite medium because it posses a richness and life all its own, but also loves using graphite to produce detailed character drawings and sketches of New Forest ponies, especially in spring-time when the little foals provide endless amusement and entertainment!
Striving to capture the beauty and spirit of The New Forest is Mo's main objective, which she considers a life-long challenge and labour of love. Mo hopes that in small way and by sharing her vision of the forest, people will develop a deeper respect for the unique environment that is The New Forest
