Lena has admired horses since she was a child. At the age of 5 years she has already drawn numerous horse motifs, and at age of 10 she sold her first cartoons in her parents’ gallery. Her career as an illustrator is now past, and today Lena are focused on making horse sculptures. The challenge lies in the materials. Using mixed or even difficult materials is a challenge that constantly drives Lena to explore new frontiers. The horse is often captured in a moment of a motion. The live models are going just outside her studio windows – they are a daily inspiration
