“I have always had one world revolving around horses, and another around art. It is only recently that the two have finally collided in an incredibly exciting yet utterly natural way

“I struggled for years to find my niche in life, not quite prepared or brave enough to embark upon a career as an artist, the success of which would ultimately depend upon my own abilities and drive. So I took an Equine Studies course at university, again never really planning on making horses my career largely because I didn’t want to see the animals that I adored as work. The course led me to America and several spells on a ranch in California, gentling, starting and training untouched mustangs into wonderful trail horses. After 3 years I reluctantly returned full time to the UK and spent several years in a ‘temporary’ job

“I will admit that I became rather lax and did not strive to reach my full potential. When some tough, life changing events were thrown into my path I was forced to reevaluate the direction in which I was moving. Thankfully someone very special came into my life who encouraged me to paint, sent me on an oil painting course and gave me the courage and confidence to take a risk. This is the result and I could not be happier! I still draw as I always have done but now will contentedly spend days at my easel, paintbrush in hand, making canvases come to life

“Please visit my website to see how my world is developing and if you would like to commission a painting drop me a line
