Jane Wills (1963) has drawn and painted horses and animals for longer than she remembers. After studying at Newcastle College of Art and Technology she married and raised a family whilst taking on occasional commission work.
“I have lived in NE Scotland for more than 20 years and have bred and owned a small herd of Exmoor Ponies for which I have very a special place in my heart.
“For the last 10 years I have been a self employed bookseller whilst still undertaking commissions in my (spare )time!
“I have exhibited locally since 2011 and will be taking part in several exhibitions in Scotland during 2012 including Balmoral Castle.
“I work in various media and specialise in horses, dogs and farm animals, although I will take on other subjects, especially landscape and trees. I love to paint animals in their natural state.
“Commissions for portraits are welcome. I like to work from a combination of sketches and photographs and where possible to spend some time with the subject. Where distance is a problem I will work from a selection of GOOD photographs. If you wish to commission a portrait please get in touch and we can chat about your requirements without any obligation to order.”
