Diana Jensen Vestergaard (Art Equidae)

Diana Jensen Vestergaard(B.A., B.Ed., M.A.)   divides her time between Canada and Europe, working as an equestrian artist and photographer.  She also teaches equine art workshops to children and adults, and offers seminars on the horse in art history.

Diana’s formal artistic education includes a Bachelor of Art and Design, a Bachelor of Art Education, a Master’s degree in Art History, and a Certificate in Academic Drawing from The Florence Academy of Art.

 The philosophy of Diana’s artwork is rooted in the Classical Realist tradition.  Her artistic practice is firmly based on Naturalism and age-old approaches to drawing and painting.  Her aesthetic attempts to celebrate the spirit and beauty of horses and ponies through a mastery of craft.  Her working process combines sketching from life, capturing photographic inspiration, and then completing artwork in her studio.

 Diana’s artwork is represented in private collections in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and throughout Europe.
