Davina Bosanquet was born in 1981, a keen animal lover she grew up with a huge variety of different pets and has been drawing horses all her life. This is the reason she has been working as an animal portrait painter for nine years (since she was at school). In her spare time she creates paintings of animals, which she exhibits in different galleries, exhibitions and fairs across the country. She studied Illustration at College but her portraiture carried on throughout her degree and ended up being the reason she works as a Fine Artist today
Davina’s work has naturally progressed into equine sporting paintings and action portraiture. She has painted some well-known names in Eventing, Racing and Polo and has been published in several magazines. A current portfolio can be seen on her website, where you can also contact her about commissions of any kind, oil, charcoal or pastel, action or static.
Although not always possible, Davina likes to meet her subject personally. She then takes lots of photos using special equipment to take fast moving action shots for sporting paintings. Prices vary depending on size and content and start from around £400
“I very much enjoy trying to give the feeling of movement in my paintings as well as capturing the character of the animals.”
