Cassandra’s statement is below:
“I have been enchanted with the magic of horses from an early age and this, combined with a true passion for painting, has lead to a natural progression into the world of equine portraiture
“Originally from Glasgow, now based in Edinburgh, I have recently taken the leap to become a full time equine portrait artist, scary but hugely exciting and incredibly rewarding!
“My preferred practice is to visit both horse and owner, taking my own photographs although I am happy to work from an old favourite provided it is a good, clear representation
“Having worked with horses through different disciplines over many years I have always been in complete awe of their energy, spirit and incredible patience. I always strive to transfer this, and to capture individual character in every commission I undertake
