Claire Martin is an Associate member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and has successfully exhibited and sold work at their annual exhibition in London. She studied Graphic Design and Illustration at De Montfort University, Lincoln where she gained her B.A. (HONS) Degree in 1996. She now works as a freelance painter/illustrator at her home in Norwich, Suffolk. Her work is published regularly in several magazines including All About Dogs/Cats, Wild About Animals and Stories For Children magazine, and has featured in ‘Artists and Illustrators’ Magazine and in the ‘International Artist’ magazine
Claire has exhibited work at: The Guildhall Art Gallery in Thetford, Norfolk – Gallery 48 in Lavenham, Suffolk. (Open competition) – Ottewill Art Gallery in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk – The Artists and Illustrators exhibition (The Born Free Stand) at Olympia 2, London, Holkham Art Gallery, Wells-Next-The-Sea in Norfolk, Wildwood Gallery, Bury St Edmunds in Sufflok
Due to her long term interest and love of horses, much of her personal artwork has always had an equestrian theme. Claire has been riding for many years and whilst studying for her Degree she also worked at a riding and livery stables. This allowed her to develop a greater understanding for her subject first hand.
Her work is featured in the Society of Equestrian Artists newsletter (June 1999) – she is a Member of the Society of Illustrators.
