Barry Davies

Biography

Barry Davies RCA is a passionate British sculptor who has exhibited his work across the UK and Europe including Florence, Rome, Paris, Venice and Barcelona. His sculptures are representational, focusing on equine anatomy and depictions of natural history. Davies proportions his work using the ‘golden ratio’ and other mathematical principles. Modelled and carved in plaster before being cast in bronze, his subject matter ranges from studies of Palaeontology, Anthropology to human and animal anatomy. In addition to this he is a statuary sculptor of historical figures. As a Royal Cambrian Academician he met the King in 2022 that developed to an invitation to teach sculpture and anatomy to higher level students for the King’s Foundation in Dumfries House 2026.
