Biography

Steve is a world renowned sculptor and has worked with a number of well-established names from the fine-art world, including: Halcyon Gallery, Carrs Silver, Monaco Fine Arts, Hickmet Fine Arts, Sotheby’s, Christies, LAPADA and BADA.
As a long serving trustee and wildlife conservationist enthusiast, Steve has travelled the world gaining inspiration and knowledge about animals. He began expressing the inspiration through painting, but with an engineering background, it wasn’t long before he taught himself to sculpt and then later launched his own family run studio and foundry in 2002. His career has now flourished and boasts more than 30 years of experience in delivering a huge number of challenging and varied sculptures, to public and private collections around the world.
Having worked with precious metals for many years, Steve and his family have developed the specialist skills required to work with silver and gold and have been granted their own British Hallmark. Sports fans may also be familiar with his flagship piece at Wembley Stadium: this spectacular bronze features five legends of Rugby which is now considered a Wembley landmark in its own right.
Steve has sculpted horses for over 20 years, from hunt horses to Arabians, contemporary to traditional. Now though, he is mastering his portrayal of equestrian beauty more so than ever, pushing both his study and accuracy along with new found feel and emotive prowess in his powerful abstracted tooling. Now having direct access to some of the best homebred Warmbloods in the UK with elite bloodlines at Hope House Stud. He is pushing further to create the balance between traditional and contemporary, accuracy and dynamics to portray the spirit and elegance of these incredible creatures, immortalising them in bronze.
“Free Spirit”, his latest equine work is a remarkable example of this delicate balance of dynamic composition and detailed study, and a monumental version of this piece was blessed by being showcased at The Royal Ascot 2025 in the Royal Enclosure.
